“Anna? What does she mean by Anna?” Maria’s father asked with the hope of getting an explanation from his wife since she is a medical doctor. Racheal wasn’t surprised to hear her saying something of such since she has seen lots of situations like this one in the hospital.
“She could be hallucinating because she has no head injury. There is no way she could be suffering from any brain damage.” These words comforted Robert, who was already looking confused with the fear of losing his daughter to Amnesia, written all over him. He told her she would be fine as the doctor in charge came around to give an injection to calm her nerves.
Although Racheal seems positive, her daughter must be hallucinating. A part of her wants to know why she would say “I am Anna” since Maria has no past medical record of memory loss and was never named Anna. Racheal waited with the mindset of asking Maria some questions when she wakes up because it would help her further the treatment after she is discharged to go home with them.
“I can feel the presence of someone on this planet. Someone with some extraordinary power.” Jake said to himself while looking at the mirror in his bathroom. He knew something was happening, although he doesn’t know where it was happening.
“Hey, you milky maggot from the abyss, you sensed that, can’t you? You have been receiving training for years for the sake of one single mission. Bring me the head of that walking disaster called Jake” those were the words in the message sent to Troy by Tobi after a feeling of the presence of strange growing power.
The game plan was quite simple. Kazar intended to keep having more strong allies in places of authority. He has planted evil creatures with human forms in several locations that make it extremely easy for him to get things done without stress. However, it is still a mystery how Jake has managed to stay undetected this long. It has always made Kazar who has refused to search for Jake himself angry with Troy several times. Kazar considers Jake a small termite that is not worthy of experiencing his superpowers.
Knowing the gravity of the responsibility given to him, Troy swung into action without wasting time. He began a search everywhere for the presence of any human with strange powers. He understood the need to find Jake fast before the anger of Tobi would come upon him.
Few hours after the injection was beginning to wear off, Maria woke up from her sleep feeling weak. Everyone was eager to hear her speak because they were afraid she might not remember them, but she did. She recognized everyone with her in the hospital ward.
Before waking up from her sleep, Maria’s parent has asked Annie several questions about what happened. It was a perfect moment for Annie because she has tried everything possible with Josh’s help to find out what was happening to Maria, but she won’t say anything. Annie explained to Mr and Mrs Robert how they had noticed some strange things about Maria. She explained everything to the point where Maria was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness on their way to a party.
Christabel and her friends were beginning to panic. Although she wants Maria dead she understood it could be the end of her normal life and the start of another life behind bars if anyone saw them at the scene or something terrible happens to Maria and it is traced back to them. “I told you we should let her be, but you won’t listen. Now you wish you had listened to everything I said. See, you need to relax because you didn’t do anything. We only passed by the scene. Anyone could walk or drive through a scene.”
Christabel tried to relax after listening to her friend. Then there was a knock on the door. At this instant, everyone froze up. “Could that be the police? We are so screwed. We are all going to jail.” They concluded without checking who it was. Their actions became their nightmare, and they would do anything possible to escape from it. “Well, we have to see who is at the door. We can’t hide forever, can we?”
Candice walked to the door fearing the cops would be waiting there to grab her and everyone. She asked who was at the door, but there was no response, so she slowly opened the door to what everyone believed would be their doom because they might never be able to talk their way out of it.
“What! What are you doing here? Are you lost or something?” Multiple questions kept rolling out of Candice’s mouth when she found out the person in front of the house came to deliver pizza. She looked inside at everyone and asked who ordered pizza. That was when Christabel remembered ordering for pizza in the early hour of the day.
When Maria woke up fully from her sleep, her mother said to her, “Maria, I think we need to talk.” Maria knew Annie had spoken to her parents about everything she had noticed in her behaviour, so there was no escape. She has to talk about it.
Maria started by telling her parents, Annie and Josh, she is convinced she has existed before, and she has to fulfil a purpose as fast as possible. Her words were shocking to everyone, and her mother was beginning to wonder if she was truly okay or there is an injury somewhere on her head that they were yet to notice. “Maria, how long has this been going on? Why do you think you had existed before” asked her mother with surprise written all over her face.
Mr Robert was more interested in why she referred to herself as Anna, so he asked: “Who is Anna? Where did you get the name?” Maria felt like she was on a hot seat, answering severe questions when she still has several unanswered questions in her mind. “I don’t know, I am still trying to figure everything out, but I once existed as Anna,” she said with tears rolling down her cheek.
Maria’s father tried not to push things too far because he noticed she was becoming traumatized. The doctor in charge came in to administer some injection so she could be discharged from the hospital, but something no one envisaged happened..
