IT WAS LION - Diana opened her eyes slowly and looked around wondered where she was. She stood up and walked to the door, pulling it open, hearing distinct voices, and moved toward the direction of the commotion. She felt a sudden sharp pain in her side, this caused her to press on the pain, feeling touched of something warm and sticky. Realizing she wounded, she stumbled into the room with the voices and fallen down exhausted.
"Diana! You're not well enough yet." A voice exclaimed. Diana's vision blurred, and she couldn't see the face of the person leaning over her as she fell unconscious only to woke up hours later with a throbbing head.
It was her best friend Gaya and her husband David, the two were seated in a chair next to her.
"Welcome back" Gaya looked relieved,
"What happened" Diana sat up straighter.
David murmured. "We're not on earth."
"What do you mean?" Her gaze looked worried
"This damn war, and the epidemic that followed, ended all… There's nothing… anymore." David said bitterly.
"Everything was wiped… We've been here for twenty days now." Gaya continued
"And I…? I've been here all through this…? Diana tried to digest the information.
"So where are we? Where's Leon?" Diana asked in a sharp tone.
"We're in space… We're on our way to Abzo 1. only The General and his family, the Commander's family and a few soldiers are on this ship."
"Where is Leon?" Diana now sounds hysterical.
"Leon is not with us, Diana. After we lost the war, a lot of people disappeared. He was the one who brought you to the ship after you were knocked down, and he was supposed to go with us. But he disappeared and nowhere to be found." Gaya said, holding her hand and stroking her hair gently.
Diana sank down slowly. She refused to believe that Leon had died or disappeared.
She was sure he was still alive.
Suddenly, they heard excitement voices, David and Gaya rushed out. A little later, they ran back into the corner Diana was lying down.
"The General has found Mother-type planet. It is strange. It does not appear on the maps. And seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. There appear it has no human activities going on there." Gaya announced excitedly.
Diana stood up slowly and went out just as the General pulled the ship down. After an apocalypse and the loss of a beloved one, what was next?
She got out of the ship and breathed in the fresh air. This new place looked fantastic. Yet She wasn't happy, she grieved for the loss of her life on earth for her beloved, Leon. He had fought bravely by her side until she was knocked unconscious.
The thought that he would not return struck her like thousands of drums drumming on her bleeding-heart crying.
While her thoughts were busy, a figure appeared in front of her.
She hoped he would come back to her, but it was only a dream.
The figure sharpened like magic, Is that a dream?
In front of her stood healthy and strong, It was Lion.
