The door opened, and Rose was standing holding a bag, beside her was a man, actually the potter. She was looking strangely around the room without moving.
""The room has been vacant since the uhm..."" He feigned a brief giggle as he paused while she turned and stared at him curiously. He then handed the key to her and walked away. She quietly walked in, still staring strangely around the room.
Later in the day, Rose placed a chair next to the wardrobe and climbed on it to arrange her shoes on the top of the Cedar-wood wardrobe. After she was done doing that, she caught a glimpse of a white material forced in the little space between the wardrobe and the wall. Out of curiosity, she pulled it out and then slowly got down curiously, staring at it. She gently unfolded it and saw a picture of a woman. She looked at it, then shrugged her shoulders, and placed the photo on her desk as she walked away.
That night, Rose was in her bed with her eyes shut. While thinking about how the day went, she could hear a sound faintly, an eerie sob from an unknown source. Suddenly she opened her eyes and slowly rose to put the light on. She looked towards the door and saw it open. Right after the door, before the metal barriers, she saw a lady dressed in a long dirty robe, apparently, the one sobbing. Rose freaked out, wondering why she was there. ""Are you my neighbor?"" she asked as she got down from the bed to approach her. As Rose got closer, the sound got louder. Rose then stretched her hand and gently placed it on the lady's shoulder.
""Is everything alright?"" She inquired.
The sob immediately faded, and the lady gently raised her head, and then hastily turned to Rose. The lady's face was pale with visible veins, eyes deep and monstrous, appeared to be a demon. Rose jerked back, withdrawing her hand, and was utterly petrified. She was intensively panting out of shock as she screamed. Then jolted from her bed, still panting; it appeared to be a nightmare. Shortly, she was getting relieved of the shock, but turning towards the door, she saw it open. Instantly, her fear roused again, and she was even more terrified than earlier. She quickly stepped down from the bed then slowly tiptoed a few steps forward. Suddenly, the lamp went off, she rushed back and turned it on, but it didn't come on still. She then fumbled her bedside for her phone she put the flashlight on. She proceeded slowly and cautiously toward the door. As she got closer, a cup on her side stool fell and shattered; the noise alone struck her with fear as she turned back facing the bed. Suddenly, the door behind her creaked and shut close. She screamed and ran back to the bed. Then the anonymous echoing voice could now be heard from the shadows, with mixed cries and screams of other girls in the hostels, as if they were being tormented or tortured. Immediately, her flashlight as well went off; she tapped it several times to get it back on, but the phone seemed dead. Random objects in the room started falling as if they were forcefully thrown. Suddenly, her flashlight got back on just for her to see the demon from her dream, this time more horrific, with bloodstain all-over and blood dripping from the fingers. Rose screamed and fell back on her butt while the phone fell then went off. The demon walked to her, and as it shushed her, she became mute and couldn't say a word, even as she struggled to, just shaking her head in tears.
""I saved you for the last,"" it whispered, then yanked her head off.
The light came on, flickered, and then went off again.
